Explore my life

My name is Lucas Delaunoit, and I want to keep learning new things — for always.
I like creating things, understanding how they work, taking them apart, putting them back together, and improving them. My interests move between design, video, tech, photography, science, and any new idea that makes me curious enough to try it. Thanks to this insatiable curiosity, I’ve already explored a lot : music, development, construction, electronics, photography, videography, design, sports (fitness, biking, trailing, ...), business and economics, sciences, history … and probably more to come. I enjoy building projects from scratch, solving problems as they appear, and collecting the skills that come from doing things myself. Because of that, I push myself to mix these fields together — to create crossovers, experiment, and explore what we usually call creativity. With this portfolio, I’m not trying to present a perfect version of who I am. I’m not trying to look better than I am. I simply want to inspire others by documenting what I do, what I learn, and how I grow along the way. These pages are a snapshot of that journey — a mix of experiments, discoveries, and the things that help me become better at what I love.
I come from a small environment where curiosity was my biggest escape. I grew up taking things apart, trying to understand how they worked, and teaching myself whatever I couldn’t learn elsewhere. I didn’t have a clear path handed to me, so I built one step by step — through experiments, mistakes, and the things I found fascinating. This background shaped the way I work today: self-driven, resourceful, and always looking for the next thing to understand. It’s where my love for learning started, and it’s still what pushes me forward.

What I'm proud about
Finishing a full application project alone, from the idea to the final version in production — and learning dozens of things along the way.
It may not sound impressive, but I’m proud of it. I did it almost without stopping (only once at 50 km), with no real nutrition, poor hydration & no training — just 5–10 km a day for daily life — and still finished 100 km in less than 4 hours.
It’s not perfect, but over the last years I improved my organization a lot. I learned to use calendars, to-dos, project management tools — things I struggled with before — and it changed the way I work and learn.
I’m still working on it, but I managed to detach from many things that used to affect me. I realized we don’t live for others, and this distance helps me grow and make choices more freely.
I know perfection doesn’t exist, but I want to get as close as I can. I’m rarely fully satisfied with what I do, and that’s what keeps me moving. These last years taught me something important: sometimes you need to let go of perfection to actually create, grow, and move forward.Where I’m going is simple — I want to keep improving. Where I will land will never be “perfect”, but it will always be better than where I started.
